Xinming Du

Xinming Du is a sixth-year PhD student and 2022 Job Market Candidate. She works on applied econometrics, environmental and health economics, and social media. She also applies remote sensing and machine learning to understand social and environmental challenges.

Xinming holds a bachelor degree in Economics and Environmental Engineering from Tsinghua University in China. Before joining Columbia, Xinming interned at UNDP and the Ministry of Environmental Protection in China. She also worked as a consultant at the chief economist office at the Asian Development Bank.
