Viviana Collymore '25 is a second-year student pursuing a Master of International Affairs with a concentration in Human Rights and Humanitarian Policy and a specialization in Technology, Media and Communications. Prior to SIPA, she worked as a research assistant to journalist, immigration rights activist and author, Jose Antonio Vargas, on his upcoming novel “White Is Not a Country,” about the intersection of race, immigration, and changing American demographics. The summer after her first year at SIPA, she worked as an intern with the Policy and Advocacy department of the ACLU of Texas. Viviana graduated with a B.A. in International Relations and Spanish, with a minor in African American Studies from Syracuse University in 2022. Vivana currently works in the SIPA Career Advancement Center and can answer any questions about becoming a program assistant or resources in career searches. She is Colombian/Trinidadian and was born and raised in Houston, Texas. In her spare time, you can find Viviana making Spotify playlists, going to spin class or finding new movies to watch.
