Solomon Mosisa Gofere

Solomon Mosisa Gofere is a student in the PhD program in Sustainable Development and a 2022 Job Market Candidate.  Solomon studied Economics at Addis Ababa University and also attended a graduate program in Economic Policy Management at Columbia University. Prior to joining the program, Solomon worked as Research Assistant for the National Bank of Ethiopia and the Ethiopian Economic Association, and also briefly held an academic position at Addis Ababa University. 

Solomon is interested broadly in the fields of health, environmental and development economics. He is primarily interested in health literacy, health care demand and health outcomes and in the relationship between health and the environment in general. Solomon is also interested in the interaction between investment in education, education quality and human capital and other economic outcomes.
