Personal Details

Sarah is a fourth year PhD student. Her research interests centre on how the big data revolution can assist in international development. She holds an undergraduate degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford and a Masters degree in Data Science from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. Prior to coming to Columbia she worked for two years at the Rhode Island Innovative Policy Lab, a data science and public policy research institute attached to Brown University. Additionally, she has extensive experience living and working in the developing world, and has a conversational level of Arabic and Spanish.
