Personal Details

Matt is a fifth-year PhD student and a 2021 Job Market candidate. He received a BA in economics and environmental science from the University of Virginia in 2016 where he specialized in environmental and biological conservation. After graduation, he worked for a year as a research assistant investigating the effect of groundwater pollution on economic and health outcomes in Rajasthan, India.

His current research interests focus on the use of machine learning and Bayesian statistics to understand resource usage and water scarcity in developing nations.
