Katie Flanagan (she/her/hers) is a MIA ’23 candidate concentrating in International Security Policy with a double specialization in East Asia and Gender & Public Policy. Originally from Michigan, Katie attended The George Washington University to earn a B.A. in International Affairs. After graduation, Katie was a Fulbright Scholar in Thailand before working at a Bangkok human rights non-profit. Katie is currently interning with the Department of State’s American Corner in Tunisia where she assists with cross-cultural diplomacy programming. Through SIPA’s Weatherhead Institute, she is also the Student Communications Coordinator for the New York Southeast Asia Network.
