SIPA’s graduates are making an impact across the globe as leaders in government, private sector, and non-governmental organizations. There are many ways SIPA alumni can get involved in supporting the professional development of SIPA students.
Due to COVID-19, SIPA’s Office of Career Services will offer virtual career programs to alumni and students during the fall 2020 semester.
SPEAK ON A CAREER PANEL
The Office of Career Services (OCS) invites alumni to share their experience at virtual events, until we resume in-person events in New York City and Washington. If you are interested in participating as a presenter in future programming, please complete this brief survey or contact Jill McIntosh, Assistant Director, Career Events and Alumni Relations, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
POST AN INTERNSHIP OR JOB
Let us know of internship or full-time employment opportunities of interest to SIPA students and alumni. Please email job announcements to email@example.com and we will post them on SIPALink.
HELP ARRANGE AN EMPLOYER INFORMATION SESSION
Encourage recruiters or hiring managers to add SIPA to their target schools list or visit campus to host an information session. Please contact Pat Macken, Director of Employer Relations, for more information.
SPONSOR A CAPSTONE PROJECT
The Columbia SIPA workshops apply the practical skills and analytical knowledge learned at SIPA to a real-world issue. The workshops partner a team of graduate students, led by an expert faculty advisor, with an external organization to analyze real policy issues and recommend actions for client organizations.
