Irupé Paraguay is a small agricultural enterprise focusing on supplying international clients with specialty organic products. The company works with 270 certified organic small farmers, and has made an effort to transfer downstream the agricultural know-how and farming best practices necessary to produce the premium crops they market. The overall objective of the project was to identify and recommend a set of operating practices that could allow the company to achieve high quality standards and product traceability. Such recommendations were also aimed towards the operating practices that can enable the company to form strong farmer relations as a key element for an efficient procurement strategy.
