In 2020, the Government of Mongolia developed the "Vision 2050", defining Mongolia's long-term development goals and policies. The New Recovery Policy (NRP) for large scale economic strengthening and reform was launched in 2021 to support the realization of the goals envisaged under “Vision 2050”. To ensure effective implementation of the priority policies, the Prime Minister (PM) established a Delivery Unit (DU), seated within the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) of Mongolia. From November 2021 until May 2022, combining an extensive literature review and interviews with global experts and Mongolian stakeholders, the SIPA team supported the PMDU team in three core ways: i) studying the experience of other countries that have adopted Delivery Units in order to provide insights and best practices to inform the PMO's initiative; ii) building on the initial research and conversations in-country,  tailoring customized recommendations aligned to Mongolia's context; and iii) drafting selected toolkits to support the operations of the DU.
