Paul Blustein is a Staff Writer at the Washington Post, where he has worked since 1987. He has covered a variety of economic issues during that time and spent five years as a correspondent in the Post's Tokyo bureau.

Before coming to the Post he worked at the Wall Street Journal and Forbes Magazine. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, and received an M.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Merton College, Oxford University, which he attended on a Rhodes Scholarship. He is the author of two books: The Chastening: Inside the Crisis that Rocked the Global Financial System and Humbled the IMF (PublicAffairs, 2001) and And the Money Kept Rolling In (And Out): Wall Street, the IMF, and the Bankrupting of Argentina (PublicAffairs, 2003).
