SIPASA Elections
Dear Class of 2010,
In preparation for the SIPASA elections Class of 2011, please find several documents that you need to read a) to vote and b) to run for a position.
For Candidates: Please come prepared to make a 2 minute speech regarding your candidacy on Thursday, November 12 from 7-8 at the 6th Floor Lounge.
If you have any questions, please feel to contact any SIPASA Board member or come to our office hours at Room 604 on the 6th floor IAB.

Dear Class of 2011,
SIPASA elections will be held on November 19. SIPASA is the main student organization that is responsible for the needs of your class, funding for all other student organizations and the liaison between student, faculty and administration. If you would like to give back to your class, enhance your leadership skills or just make sure that there are more interesting social events in the future, you should run for SIPASA.
What to do: You must submit a candidate statement to sipasa2009elections@gmail.com by 3pm Nov 12. You will then be sent a guideline for campaigning. Elections will be held Nov 19th and results announced at the Happy Hour that day.

Where: M1-5, 52 Walker St. between Church St.and Broadway (N, Q, R, W to Canal St.(2 minute walk); 1 to Franklin St.(5 minute walk); A, C, E, J, M, Z,6to Canal St. (5 minute walk); 2,3 to Chambers St. (10 minute walk)
What Time: 10pm-4am
$20 tickets will be going on sale Thursday on the 4th floor, Free Beverages for 3 hours! Prizes for Best Costumes
"I Survived Econ Mixer!"
When: Friday, October 23, 6:30-9pm
Where: Village Pourhouse Uptown 982 Amsterdam Ave. between 108 St. and 109 St.
What time: No cover, special beverages until 8pm

Welcome Back Party @ Hudson Terrace done in Style!
SIPASA organized a Welcome Back Party for all continuing and new students at SIPA on Friday the 4th of September at Hudson Terrace on 42 Street. The crowd was a mix of first and second years and we saw a few familiar recent graduate faces too! The crowd moved to the roof top as the music died down in the main dance hall and the socializing continued till the wee hours of the morning.
SIPASA Locker Sales
Price: $60 for the year (cash and checks)
Renewing Lockers: Continuing student can renew their lockers. Should students not renew their rentals, locks will be cut at 5 pm on Tuesday 9/15. To renew your locker, go to the SIPASA table on the 4th floor. SIPASA representatives will table:
Tuesday, 9/8: 2-4
Wednesday, 9/9: 2-4
Wednesday, 9/10: 2-4
Monday, 9/14: 2-4
Tuesday, 9/15: 2-4
New Locker Sales: New and continuing students can rent a new locker beginning at 2 pm on Wednesday 9/16. To rent a new locker, go to the SIPASA table on the 4th floor. SIPASA representatives will table:

After this date, students can rent new lockers by visiting the SIPASA
Office (Rm 607). SIPASA board members will have regularly scheduled
office hours by the third week of classes.

SIPA Boat Trip - Not to be missed!
Join your classmates for a 2-hour boat trip aboard the "Zephyr”. We'll sail up both the Hudson and the East River and end up back at South Street Seaport. Once back at port, guests will have the option to continue the party at Water Taxi Beach or any of the other venues in the area. One non-SIPA guest per student allowed. Tickets will sell out.
When: Friday, September 18th
What Time: 8:00-10:00pm – Guests should plan to arrive no later than 7:30
Where: South Street Seaport (Fulton & South Streets, Pier 17)
How much: $8 Tickets will be sold for $8 between 10AM and 4PM on the 4th floor until they sell outTickets are now sold out, and no more will be released. Sorry, but there was a limited amount. Some may be sold by students via Googlegroups. If you were unable to purchase a ticket and would like to join us afterwards, the boat will dock at South Street Seaport at 10PM. Some people will be going to Water Taxi Beach, which is located there. Some may prefer to go to one of many other venues on the pier or in the area.
For those that have tickets:
Please be at the pier (South Street Seaport: Fulton & South Streets, Pier 17) no later than 7:30. The boat will be leaving at 8:00. Allow plenty of time for travel, as getting to South Street Seaport can take a while. If possible, take the A train to Broadway/Nassau. Refreshments will be available for purchase with cash only.
