Dear Student Groups,
The funding request form is now out. Please note a couple of general points:
- This semester, any remaining funds from the fall semester will remain in clubs' accounts and will be taken into consideration for the spring disbursement.
- Please take care when budgeting for this semester that you do not leave your account with a deficit, as this can negatively impact your club's ability to attract funding in the future. This is particularly important this semester as the end of semester is also the end of the academic year.
- The spring semester is a busy time for many clubs and we understand there are a few new clubs under proposal as well. SIPASA wishes to support all clubs and will be as fair as possible in the allocation of funds. So we'd like to highlight some of the things that are taken into consideration for all clubs: the level and quality of activity in the previous semester, the size of its active membership, its age and history, its contribution to a diverse and inclusive SIPA environment, its work with other clubs and faculty, the quality of planned events for this semester andits use of previous funding. (This is not meant as an exhaustive list, as every club is different, rather it is to give everyone a feeling for the type of criteria that are used.)
