Membership

Eligibility: All SIPA graduate students and alumni may join the SIPA Finance Club.

Application: Students who wish to be considered for membership must submit to the Executive Board a brief description of their (1) current status at Columbia University, (2) academic and professional background, and (3) reasons for application for membership.

Admission: Membership will be granted with a two thirds majority vote by the Executive Board. Membership is granted for an indefinite term; however, it is subject to observing membership requirements, and to periodic review by the Executive Board.

The club's objectives are to educate our members about the financial services industry, to help them gain practical experience, and to make them part of a strong social and professional network.  Among many other things, the SFC provides members with the following:

    • Resume reviews conducted by second-year students and alums
    • Mock interviews conducted by second-year students
    • Educational workshops/events
    • Educational speakers
    • Alumni Panels/ receptions etc.
    • Mentoring Program
