Quipasa - Mission Statement

Quipasa has two main goals:

1. To provide a safe setting in which lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students can meet and socialize with their peers and colleagues.

2. To organize events at SIPA that promote awareness of issues related to sexual orientation, homophobia and AIDS.

QUIPASA's mission also includes:

* Educate Columbia University communities about the policy and management issues which affect lesbians, gay men, bisexual and transgender people in domestic and international contexts.

* Support co-curricular initiatives reflecting the interests and concerns of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community
