  • Center on Japanese Business and Economy
    Center on Japanese Economy and Business (CJEB) is an institution in Columbia Business School. CJEB holds a number of lectures regarding Japanese economy, promoting knowledge and understanding of Japanese business and economics in an international context.
  • Weatherhead East Asian Institute
    Weatherhead East Asian Institute is an institution in Columbia University, researching East Asian countries including Japan, China, Korea and Taiwan. The institute also organize lecture meetings.
  • Japan Society
    Japan Society(JS) is an American NGO, founded in 1907 by a group of prominent New York business people and philanthropists. JS provides a variety of lectures and cultural events. Events are not free of charge, yet they are worth paying for.

  • Japanese Art in Metroporitan Museum of Art
    Met has collected a number of Japanese arts. Here in the page, Met explains topics of Japanese art ranging from "Zen Buddisum" to "Art of the Pleasure Quarters and the Ukiyo-e Style" to "Design, 1975–present."
  • Donald Keene Center of Japanese Culture
    Donald Keene Center arranges events regarding Japanese culture. The center is named in honor of Professor Donald Keene, internationally renowned scholar and having become Japanese in 2011.

  • Center for Japanese Legal Studies
    Center for Japanese Legal Studies is Columbia Law School's institution for Japanese law. Columbia University is the first law school in the United States to offer courses in Japanese law.

Casual Language Exchanges
  • Nihongo Chat Club For those who want to practice Japanese casual basis, there is a biweekly chat opportunities among Japanese and foreign students at Kent Hall. This is organized by Columbia University Japanese Language Program.
  • Friends of Japan Language Exchange For those who want to practice Japanese casual basis, Friends of Japan (Teachers College student organization) offers biweekly chat opportunities among Japanese and foreign students at Teachers College library. Bi-weekly, Thursdays, 7-9pm.
