- Raise Awareness and Dispel myths within the SIPA community
- Raise awareness of GLIPA;
- Raise awareness of homosexuality in general - its political history, the positive contributions of homosexuals to society, and gender issues.
- Network
Provide venues through which gay and straight allies at SIPA may network with:
- SIPA alumni;
- Other gay organizations at Columbia;
- Gay organizations at peer graduate policy schools;
- Gay employee associations at target employers (at international organizations, governments, private companies, non-profits).
- Lead as a resource, active community member and organizer.
