Mission
The Association of Students of African Descent

The Association of Students of African Descent (ASAD) provides a platform for students interested in the economic, political and social development of Africa, the Diaspora and the Caribbean.

It also aims to enrich the SIPA community through diversity awareness and celebration of our rich heritage. It provides a community of support for ASAD students at SIPA and serves as a resource for professional development.

Membership is open but not limited to students of African descent. We welcome all who are interested in ending the scourge of poverty in as permanent a way as possible and in a just and prosperous world.
