Instructions

Requirements: IE (5.5or higher), Netscape (7.1 or latest) and Firefox (1.01 or higher). IE 7 is not supported.

  1. Login with your SIPA Network ID and password (DO NOT CU Email ID or UNI) here.

  2. Accept the Certificate for the SIPA Server.

  3. The NetStorage screen will show you all your data directories on the network. You can toggle between the graphical interface and text mode by clicking on the at the top.

  4. To access a file and edit it, you will need to download it to your local computer and then work on it. When finished, you upload it. See File option at the top.

Note: If you are working on a shared file and download the file to edit, it is no longer available to another person in your group till you save it and upload it back. One way around it is to create a copy and work with that.

  5. When finished, remember to LOGOUT and exit. If you do not logout your data can be hacked and it adds a high security risk. Your system will be locked if there is no activity for 10 minutes. You will be prompted for your user ID and password again.

  6. Online help is available on the Help Menu and is also available here.
