Videoconference

SIPA has a small videoconferencing facility in conference room 1415 using ISDN lines. It seats a maximum if eight people. Access to this facility depends on the availability of the room, and technical staff. All requests must be made through your office administrator. Please submit the online videoconference request form. Also plan to have a test before the actual event. This must also be arranged with the remote site. We support ISDN lines with a speed of 128, 256 or 384.

The cost of videoconferencing is $50 per hour plus the cost of phone calls. In case the remote site is making the call, then only the phone charge will be dropped. All other charges apply.

You should have the following information when requesting this service:

  • The phone number/IP address to call the remote site, if they are not making the call to our site

  • E-mail address and/or phone number of a technical person at the remote site

  • Speed at which they will connect

  • Make sure to arrange for a test before the event—you must have alternate times for when our conference room is free.
