  • 405 International Affairs
  • 411 International Affairs
  • 413 International Affairs

To begin, you must unlock both doors of the podium; first the left, then the right. Once the front door is open, gently lift the lid. Take care to fold the lid back on itself, as shown in the photograph.

Correct MethodIncorrect Method

1. To begin working with the ePodium, the computer must be connected to the power source. To do so, simply plug the cable into the slot labeled "Computer" as shown.

2. Check the panel at the top of the podium (to the left of the computer screen) and verify that the power is on and that PC2 is selected. (Note: If you wish to show a video, Vid1/VCR should be selected. If you wish to project an image from your laptop, PC1/Laptop should be selected.)

3. You may now turn the computer on. To do so, simply press the power button on the computer tower.

4. When the login screen appears, type in the user name: sipaav and select the OK button. No password is necessary to login.

5. Then, using the remote control as shown, turn on the LCD projector mounted to the ceiling. Within a few moments, your presentation should appear on the projection screen

6. The ePodium also contains a multi-standard VCR; a DVD player is located in the computer tower.

The computer is internet-ready. To connect to the web, simply double click on the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop.

7. You may use your own laptop instead of the ePodium computer. To connect the laptop, you must first make sure that the "Laptop" button on the podium control panel is lit up. Then, instead of connecting the cable already inside the ePodium to the "Computer" slot, you need to connect a loose cable from your laptop to the slot labeled "Computer." To use the projector, follow the directions outlined above.
