Welcome to 901 and 902 training. If you plan to use any of these rooms, please review these training pages before your scheduled training with a SIPA staff member.

  • 901 International Affairs
  • 902 International Affairs

These are self service eRooms and require the user to provide a laptop. You can request one from SIPA AV for a fee for non-SIPA courses.

Turn on projector:  On the key panel  you will see a under the words “power” a button marked on.  This will turn on the projector.

Plug your laptop into the wall cable.  Below the key panel there is a box with a long VGA and audio cable coming out of it.  This cable gets plugged into your laptop.  Note that if you are using an Apple laptop, you will need to have the proprietary video adapter in order to plug the cable into your Mac.  Along with the video is a stereo mini plug.  You can plug this into the headphone jack of your computer to get sound.  There is a volume control at the bottom of the keypad on the wall.  You will need to have the projector on to use the audio.

Some laptops will not automatically recognize that they are plugged into an external video device.  You will need to know what the key combination for your particular brand of computer that will send the video signal to the VGA port.  This is usually and combination of the function key and  one of the function keys on the top of the keyboard.

When done, you must turn off the projector.  You do that by pressing the off button on the keypad twice and put the cable back on the hook where it is found.
