Dear Alumni:
SIPA is excited to announce the appointment of Scott Pesner as our new Director of Alumni Affairs.
A marketing and communications executive by profession, Scott offers the expertise to increase SIPA's engagement with you and your engagement with one another, as well as impressive dedication to the cause of alumni relations. Most recently, he has worked as Vice President and Director of Strategic Planning at New York-based NMA Entertainment & Marketing, one of the nation's top entertainment marketing agencies, and as a freelance marketing and communications consultant.
As importantly, he has devoted incredible time and effort to voluntarily organizing alumni events and other activities for his alma mater, Cornell, and to serving Cornell as a key alumni advisor and liaison. Among other accomplishments, Scott is President of Cornell's 18,000-member New York City club, Co-Chair of his class' Reunion Weekend, Chair of the Cornell Alumni Association's communications committee, and a member of Cornell's University Council.
"I'm thrilled to join the staff at SIPA," says Scott. "But what I'm really looking forward to is working with SIPA's incredibly diverse alumni. The alumni I already know or have recently met are just outstanding people, and I'm excited to find new ways to connect them with each other and keep them connected with SIPA."
SIPA also welcomes Grace H. Han, the School's new Executive Director of Admissions and Financial Aid. In this role, Grace will work to attract outstanding students to SIPA from around the globe, all of whom want to make the world a better place.
Grace brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and experience both with Columbia and with marketing and enrollment management. She most recently served as Associate Dean of Strategic Enrollment Management at the School of Continuing Education. Prior to that, Grace spent six years with Columbia Business School, rising to Senior Associate Director of Marketing and Communications for the School-wide Marketing and Admissions team.
