Dear SIPA Alumni,
SIPA's Alumni Council expanded this year to better enable us to engage SIPA graduates wherever they may be—which is everywhere. Led by chair Roger Baumann, the Council's executive committee increased from 10 members to 15, and the wider Council grew to 40.
In the same spirit of expanded communication, SIPA is changing our approach to alumni affairs to reflect our sense of how alumni can best be served by the School. The Office of Alumni Affairs, previously contained within SIPA's Office of Development, will be shifted to the Office of Communications and External Relations. This change will allow us to leverage the expertise of our communications team to keep our alumni even better informed of what's happening at the School and with each other. This new look for our e-newsletter—let us know what you think!—is just the start of our efforts.
And, after four years with SIPA, Alumni Affairs Director Daniela Francesca Coleman will be leaving the School to move to Europe. Daniela has been instrumental in collaborating with the Council, bringing SIPA alumni together around the world, and invigorating the ties that make this network so vibrant. The search for a new director is underway and we will update you on our progress in early fall. Please join us in thanking Daniela for her unfailingly cheerful dedication to SIPA alumni and wishing her all the best for this next stage of her career.
