OSA Deans' Office Hours
Advisors in the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) advise students on academic matters related to the MIA and MPA Core Curriculum and assist students with general questions related to their studies (course load, grading options, university services, etc.) For advising related to concentrations or specializations, students should consult with the relevant concentration/specialization director and/or program assistants.
Some areas of individual specialization for each of the OSA Deans are:
Stefan Brown (asb167@columbia.edu): Student data management and reporting, degree certification, academic warning/probation/dismissal.
Duane Bruce (db2835@columbia.edu): Student life, Student groups, Orientation, Disability Services, and academic misconduct cases.
Urbano Garza (utg1@columbia.edu): Student Assistantship and Scholarship process at SIPA, FGV dual degree program and CIDE exchange program.
Leah Gunn Barrett (geg41@columbia.edu):Columbia University dual degree students, The Five Year Program with Barnard, Columbia College and General Studies, International travel policies, and student health services.
Caroline Kay (cck11@columbia.edu): Academic policy issues, disciplinary action, academic warning/probation/dismissal.
Mona Khalidi (mk2388@columbia.edu): PhD program in Sustainable Development, Sciences Po dual-degree program, transfer credit/advanced standing.
Tan Nyuyen (tn2102@columbia.edu): International dual-degree and exchange programs at SIPA (GPPN), Housing, Town Hall and SIPA Graduation.
Alleyne Waysome (aaw54@columbia.edu): Pre-registration, registration and cross-registration processes for SIPA students.
NOTE: Students enrolled in the PEPM Program (MPA in Economic Policy Management) should contact the PEPM Office at (212) 854-6982 for academic services. Students enrolled in the Executive MPA program should contact the Picker Center for Executive Education at (212) 854-2710. Students enrolled in the MPA Environmental Science and Policy program should contact (212) 854-3142.
