Academic Advising
The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) advises students on their academic program and life at SIPA in general and on the core requirements in particular. Through this site you can review the MIA and MPA core requirements, course syllabi, the most recent student course evaluations, Concentration and Specialization overviews, proficiency and advanced standing policies as well as view sample semester schedules for both degrees. And we’ve hopefully anticipated many of your questions with our FAQs.
But nothing substitutes for face-to-face meetings with your assigned Dean. We encourage you to come into the Office of Student Affairs and/or make an appointment to see your Dean or any other Dean on duty whenever you have questions or concerns. Our goal is to ensure your SIPA experience be as rewarding as possible.
For questions about course choices, you should refer to the Online Curriculum Guide, and for questions about course registration, please see Registration.
