Elizabeth Mayer (MIA '12) visited Honduras on a medical mission trip during spring break in March 2011.
"I volunteered to accompany doctors and ophthalmologists to three sites in five days, administering eye care to local impoverished Hondurans living and working in the African palm plantation. This boy, a son of one of the patients, joined other kids in peering through the windows, trying to distract us while we ate during lunch break."
