Each year SIPA hosts dozens of lectures by leading scholars and practitioners in the fields of international affairs and public policy, covering topics as diverse as economic development, human rights, climate change, urban policy, and international finance. Many of these events are recorded and posted to our multimedia website. We invite students, scholars, and the general public to take advantage of these resources.
Pakistan and Afghanistan: Domestic Pressures and Regional Threats
To mark the launch of its Fall/Winter 2009 issue, the Journal of International Affairs hosted a debate on President’s Obama’s AfPak strategy. Ambassador Azmat Hassan Addresses Pakistani Offensive Against the Taliban
In a podcast, former Pakistani Ambassador Azmat Hassan speaks with Rob Garris, Senior Associate Dean at SIPA, about Pakistan's military offensive against the Taliban in May of 2009.
