Video Online for SIPA Events 2008

Each year SIPA hosts dozens of lectures by leading scholarsand practitioners in the fields of international affairs and public policy, covering topics as diverse as economic development, human rights, climate change, urban policy, and international finance.  Many of these events are recorded and posted to our multimedia website. We invite students, scholars, and the general public to take advantage of these resources..

The Politics of Food
SIPA and the Manhattan Borough President jointly presented "The Politics of Food," a conference focusing on one of New York City's biggest policy challenges: delivering wholesome, quality food in a timely manner to those who need it. The conference addressed issues such as energy, sustainability, affordability, public health, jobs, neighborhood preservation, and globalization. Speakers included Lee Bollinger, Scott Stringer, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Maya Wiley, and H.E. Father Miquel d'Escoto Brockmann. [November 19, 2008]
