The Picker Center, founded by a gift from former SIPA Dean Harvey Picker, is dedicated to meeting the educational needs of mid-career learners unable to attend school full-time. It offers a degree program, the Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA), and non-degree programs covering a wide range of topics and serving a variety of constituencies.
“We recognize that more and more people are seeking graduate degrees at different times of their lives and very often are not in the position to attend full-time,” said Dean John H. Coatsworth. “SIPA had the foresight to recognize this potential ten years ago, allowing us to build these exceptional programs. The Picker Center is a critical component to the future of SIPA.”
