Alumnus Leads Executive Education at Columbia Business School
Michael Malefakis (MIA ’90) was appointed Associate Dean for Executive Education at Columbia Business School. Malefakis is responsible for leading the Executive Education team in the creation and delivery of high quality custom and open enrollment executive education programs worldwide.
Malefakis joins the Columbia Business School after nearly 12 years at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. There, he was responsible for the strategy and marketing for open and custom programs. He also served as director of the Executive Education Center of the Instituto Centroamericano de Administración de Empresas in Costa Rica, assistant director of the Executive Education Center at the University of Michigan’s School of Business Administration, and project manager for economic development organizations in El Salvador, Peru, Guatemala, and Belize.
