The Luksic Fellowships are intended to strengthen governance and policy-making in Chile by educating existing and emerging leaders of the Ministry of Energy through participation in the SIPA program.

Upon successful completion of the programs, Luksic Fellows will return to Chile armed with Masters in Public Administration (MPA) degrees from a prestigious and competitive university. In addition, these internationally renowned degrees will be relevant to their areas of expertise working in the public sector.

There are three fellowships available every year for current employees of the Ministry of Energy to attend Columbia’s Program in Economic Policy Management: Focus in International Energy Management and Policy (PEMP: IEMP).

There are also three fellowships available every year for current employees of the Ministry of Environment to attend Columbia's Program in Environmental Science and Policy (PESP).

Mr. Luksic is also the founder and President of two nonprofit foundations; Fundación Educacional Oportunidad which is devoted to improving early childhood education in Chile, and the Fundación Amparo y Justicia which provides legal support to victims of sexual abuse.

Mr. Luksic was educated in Chile at the Grange School prior to attending the Dublin Preparatory School and Babson College in the United States
