Andrónico Luksic is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banco de Chile – the largest financial institution in Chile – and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Quiñenco S.A., Chile’s leading business conglomerate and controlling entity of a number of industrial and service companies in Chile. Mr. Luksic is a member of the Board of Directors at Compañía Cervecerías Unidas S.A., a diversified beverage company and Chile’s largest national brewery. He is also a Director of Madeco S.A. and Canal 13, and an active member of SOFOFA (The Federation of Chilean Industry), as well as a trustee of the Chile-Pacific Foundation.

In 2010, Mr. Luksic was reappointed by the President of Chile to continue his duties as one of three Chilean representatives to the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC). He was also Chairman of the APEC CEO Summit in 2004 and Chairman of the World Economic Forum on Latin America in 2007.

In 2011, Mr. Luksic was named Vice Chairman of the International Business Leaders’ Advisory Council for the Mayor of Shanghai. He is also a member of the International Advisory Board of Barrick Gold, the Advisory Board of the Panama Canal and the Chairman’s International Advisory Council at the Council of the Americas, as well as the Brookings Institution International Advisory Council and the Latin America Conservation Council of the Nature Conservancy.

Consistent with his commitments to education, Mr. Luksic is a Trustee at Babson College, and also a member of: the Global Advisory Council at Harvard University, the Dean’s Council at the Harvard Kennedy School, the Global Advisory Board at Harvard Business School, the Advisory Committee of the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard University, the Advisory Board of Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, the International Advisory Board at the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford, and the Latin America Executive Board at MIT Sloan School of Management.

In addition to these endeavors, he is also an accomplished mountaineer having climbed to the summit of Mount Everest in May, 2004. Subsequently, in December 2005, he completed the “Seven Summits of the World”, by climbing to summit of the highest peak on each of the seven continents.
