The Luksic Fellowships for Chile were established and funded by Andrónico Luksic in 2010 in an effort to provide residents of Chile who have proven and current experience working in the nation’s public sector – specifically in areas related to governance, public service and finance – the opportunity to earn a Master in Public Administration degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).

Andrónico Luksic

Andrónico Luksic is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banco de Chile – the largest financial institution in Chile – and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Quiñenco S.A., Chile’s leading business conglomerate and controlling entity of a number of industrial and service companies in Chile. Mr. Luksic is a member of the Board of Directors at Compañía Cervecerías Unidas S.A., a diversified beverage company and Chile’s largest national brewery. He is also a Director of Madeco S.A. and Canal 13, and an active member of SOFOFA (The Federation of Chilean Industry), as well as a trustee of the Chile-Pacific Foundation.

In 2010, Mr. Luksic was reappointed by the President of Chile to continue his duties as one of three Chilean representatives to the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC). He was also Chairman of the APEC CEO Summit in 2004 and Chairman of the World Economic Forum on Latin America in 2007.
