Elen Portero de Paula

Elen Portero de Paula concentrated on Economic and Political Development in Latin America. Ms. de Paula is from São Paulo, Brazil and is currently pursuing a career in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability. At present, Ms. de Paula is working for Comunidade Educativa CEDAC in São Paulo where shes manages public education programs. Prior to attending SIPA, Ms. de Paula worked in the private and nonprofit sectors. She started her career working for companies such as Coca-Cola FEMSA and Telefonica in Sales, Marketing, Financial & Planning Analysis and Project Management. In the United States, Ms. de Paula worked in the nonprofit sector for BrazilFoundation, The Resource Foundation, American Red Cross and Vision Spring. While pursuing her Master’s degree, Ms. de Paula worked as a consultant for Campbell’s Soup and Endeavor.

Jorge Paulo Lemann co-founded the investment banking firm Banco Garantia and helped grow it into one of Brazil’s most prestigious and innovative investment banks. Lemann and his partners then purchased a Brazilian brewery that became InBev, one of the world’s largest beverage producers.
