Albert Phillip, MIA '10
Albert Phillip is a Brazilian and Portuguese dual citizen, who graduated with a master’s degree in International Finance and Economic Policy from Columbia University. As a founder of the AP Foundation, whose primary objective is to subsidize social projects in Brazil, Albert seeks to carry on the legacy of his family by giving back to his community and dedicating his life to philanthropy. Previously, Albert assisted the VP for Programs of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and co-authored an evaluation report which became the roadmap for NYSERDA’s future endeavors in overcoming negative cash flow streams and reformulating strategic planning premises. Albert has also worked with the Board of Directors of Light S.E.S.A. and Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – PETROBRAS. Albert began his career at the United Nations Information Center – UNIC-Rio, where he developed projects aimed at reducing poverty and social inequalities in Rio de Janeiro and was also named the United Nations Volunteer for Peace 2004.
