Mark Stover Mr. Mark Stover, Program Director, leads the CICR Environment Program, which he initiated, and was the director of the International Research Project on Regional Autonomy of Ethnic Minorities, a long-term initiative that addresses issues relevant to modern ethnic autonomy systems through academic research and dialogue. He coordinated the International Conference on Regional Autonomy of Ethnic Minorities in Beijing in 2001 and two follow-up conferences in Uppsala, Sweden in 2003 and 2004, and the ongoing research initiatives in collaboration with Uppsala University, Hong Kong University, Singapore’s Institute for Southeast Asian Studies, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission of the People’s Republic of China, and the Office of the High Commissioner on National Minorities at the OSCE. Mr. Stover received a Master of International Affairs degree from SIPA with a concentration in international conflict resolution, and an undergraduate degree from New York University. He is a PhD candidate at George Mason University’s Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution. |
