Mr. Yannis Psimopoulos is a researcher at the Center for International Conflict Resolution, Columbia University and a lawyer at the Athens Bar Association, Greece. He holds an LLB from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (2003) and an MSc in socio-legal studies from the London School of Economics, UK (2004). Prior to joining CICR, Yannis had a visiting appointment at Johns Hopkins University, focusing on the anthropology of political institutions in Ancient Greece and Rome as well as legal history. His research interests include conflict resolution in theory and practice, genocide prevention, comparative jurisprudence, public international law, and legal evolution.
