Josie Lianna Kaye, Researcher, came to CICR after obtaining her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Nottingham. She is currently at Sciences Po in Paris where she is focusing on Conflict and Security studies. She decided to undertake a second Masters at Columbia University in order to concentrate both on international conflict resolution and a certificate in African studies, with modules that also have a Middle Eastern focus. She recently worked in Togo with small grass roots associations on village health care projects and aids awareness and she also helped establish a small association to enable orphans and children from disadvantaged backgrounds to go to school. She is greatly interested in the theory of genocide and, with researchers at CERI in Paris, she is involved in research concerning mass violence. At CICR, she is undertaking advanced research projects into peace processes and reconciliation.
