Esi Ansah, Axis Human Resource Development Group
Esi Ansah is a founding partner of Axis Human Resource Development Group, a socially-conscious HR consultancy based in Ghana. As a Human Resource Development Specialist, she organizes workshops on career planning and development for young adults, and has mentored many in this endeavor.
Esi has taught African Politics and Comparative Politics at Rutgers University for three years, and has extensive experience counseling university students. Her other professional interests include public sector human resource development, social entrepreneurship and Global South-South learning exchanges in the African development context.
A keen advocate for reform in African higher education, Esi believes in practical, student-centered, problem-solving approaches to teaching and learning, and will be teaching as an Assistant Professor at Ghana’s premier university - Ashesi University, starting in Fall 2008.
Esi earned Masters degrees in Social Sciences and in Public Service Management from the University of Chicago and DePaul University, respectively. She is currently a final year doctoral candidate at the Rutgers University School of Public Affairs and Administration in Newark, New Jersey, and will be completing her PhD in Public Administration in May 2008. Her dissertation focuses on service quality in the Ghanaian public sector.
