Tuition and Fees

Tuition: $5,500

Application deadline: Monday, Feburary 18, 2013

Deadline to pay initial deposit:

March 1, 2013- $1,500 deposit

Deadline to pay balance:

March 11, 2013- $4,000 balance

All monies paid are non refundable.

The Inter- American Development Bank will be offering tuition waivers for up to 15 policymakers from Latin American countries.

 

Candidates worldwide are welcome to apply.  The Inter-American Development Bank criteria for financial aid for Latin American candidates.

The candidate should:

  • Be a citizen of a Latin American or Caribbean country
  • Be a public servant in one of the main financial institutions of his/her country, such as a Ministry of Finance, Department of Debt Management, Central Bank, or Ministry of Economic Development.
  • Be sponsored by his/her institution. In particular, the applicant should have clearance from his/her institution regarding its willingness to finance the candidate’s related travel and accommodation expenses.
  • Have policy-making responsibilities in his/her institution, particularly in contributing to the design and/or implementation of macroeconomic and financial policies, and/or in debt and macro-financial analysis.
  • Be in a position to potentially incorporate the knowledge acquired during the course in the execution of his/her duties.
  • Have a strong economics background

Candidates will be informed if they received the tuition waiver by February 21st.

Application Deadline:

February 18, 2013

The program will be held on the Columbia University campus in New York City.

Participants are expected to find their own accommodations and means of transportation to and in New York City.
