Biography:
Sarah Holloway has worked in the public and nonprofit sector for 20 years.
Holloway is a partner in a boutique management consulting firm focused on the nonprofit and philanthropic sector. Her clients have included the New York City Council Commission on the Campaign for Fiscal Equity; the NYC Department of Small Business Services; the NYC Economic Development Corporation (for the South Bronx Greenway); Solar One; the New York Hall of Science; Action Against Hunger; and Travelers Insurance Company Foundation.
Prior to consulting, Holloway served as Executive Director of MOUSE, a nonprofit social enterprise she helped launch in 1997 to provide New York City public schools and students with access to 21st century technology tools. The organization, now in 350 schools in five states – and in dozens of countries worldwide via a partnership with Microsoft Corporation – is centered around an innovative youth development program which prepares and supports students in establishing and managing leading edge technical support help desks in their schools. Previously, Holloway worked for several years in program development and management for multiple local non-profits. In 2008, she was appointed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg to the New York City Workforce Investment Board (WIB), which oversees nearly $100 million annually in federally funded workforce programs.She also serves on the Boards of Directors of LIFT Investments, the Ft. Tryon Park Trust (NYC Parks Department) and Friends of Public School 187.
Holloway holds a Bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College and a Master of Public Administration from SIPA.
