Biography:
Oliver Ulich has been with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) since July 2001. Since joining OCHA, he has been desk officer for several major emergencies, including Afghanistan, Iraq and, since early 2004, Sudan. He is also currently part of the secretariat of the Secretary-General's Policy Committee, and has worked for several other high-level policy groups in the UN Secretariat. Before joining the UN, he worked as an attorney in New York, Hong Kong and London for five years. He has worked as a consultant for several NGOs, and has been a guest lecturer at at a number of universities, including Harvard and Columbia. Mr. Ulich holds a law degree from Munich University (Germany) and an LL.M. from Columbia Law School.
