Biography:

Jeffrey Potent serves with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Water in Washington, D.C. He leads corporate sustainability initiatives within the agriculture sector, contributes to the development of water quality trading and markets for other ecosystem services, and regulates livestock and poultry agricultural operations. Before coming to EPA headquarters, he served as regional coordinator and EPA liaison for the U.S. Department of Agriculture/Land Grant University, National Integrated Water Quality Program. Mr. Potent’s earlier experience includes leading an energy and environmental management industrial technical assistance service, developing pollution prevention, air and water programs for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, and global telecommunications planning with ITT Corporation. He holds a Masters Degree in Public Policy from the New School University.
