Biography:
Deborah McLean spent over twenty years in the investment banking industry. For the first 15 years of her career, she worked for Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated, where she was a Managing Director. McLean was involved mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, capital markets and product development, mortgage-backed securities and commercial real estate. She has substantial international business experience, having worked in the New York, London and Tokyo offices of Morgan Stanley.

Subsequently, McLean was the President and a Managing Director of an investment banking boutique, Meadowcroft Associates Inc., located in Connecticut, where she provided financial advice in areas such as bankruptcy and reorganization, valuation analysis, litigation support and mergers and acquisitions.  From 2000-2001, McLean was Chief Financial Officer of Kokua Communications Inc, a satellite based broadband start-up in London.

McLean is Vice Chair of the Board and Treasurer of Richmond, The American International University in London.  She is a member of Golden Seeds, an angel investor group.

McLean taught both MBA and undergraduate business courses at Richmond, The American International University in London from 1999-2007.  During the Fall Term 2007 she completed a visiting professorship at the Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University. She has taught at SIPA since spring 2008.

McLean earned a B.A. in Government (International Relations) from Radcliffe College, Harvard University in 1976. She also holds a MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration (1979).
