Claire Ullman
Adjunct Assistant Professor of Political Science
Biography:
Claire Ullman teaches a course on work/family policy at SIPA; she also teaches in the Department of Political Science at Barnard College. Her primary area of interest is gender and politics.
Ullman received a BA from Harvard University and a PhD in political science from Columbia University. She has also taught at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and been a fellow at the Brookings Institution. She is the author of The Welfare State's Other Crisis: Explaining the New Partnership between Nonprofit Organizations and the State in France (Bloomington: Indiana University Press, 1998).
