Anthony Yuen
Adjunct Assistant Professor of International and Public Affairs
Biography:
Dr. Anthony Yuen is a strategist with Citigroup's Global Commodities Research in New York. He is responsible for the macroeconomic and quantitative research of commodity markets, particularly natural gas, power, oil and emissions. Previously, he worked at McKinsey & Company in the greater China region and was most recently at Constellation Energy's Commodities Group, where he built and ran the natural gas fundamentals function, among other responsibilities.
His research and teaching interests cover the energy spectrum, including the supply-demand, transport, pricing and regulations of fossil fuels, cap-and-trade and other mechanisms of emission rules, as well as technological aspects of energy extraction and generation, including renewables. His work would often incorporate topics on macroeconomics, industrial organization and geopolitics in relation to the supply and demand of energy.
Dr. Yuen received his B.A.Sc and M.Eng. in Electrical and Computer engineering from the University of Toronto, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Anthony is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
