PhD in Sustainable Development Student Profiles
Jesse Anttila-Hughes
Jesse Antilla-Hughes is a second-year student in the Sustainable Development program. His areas of focus are atmospheric science, disasters and extreme events, and finance. Jesse’s current research areas include the effect of weather and health shocks on education, the long-term demographic effects of drought, and rural weather insurance.
He graduated from Harvard University in 2002 with an A.B.in physics, and speaks Mandarin, Japanese and some French and Spanish.
