PhD in Sustainable Development Student Profiles
Anthony D’Agostino
Anthony D’Agostino is a second-year student. Prior to coming to SIPA, Anthony D’Agostino was a Research Associate at the Centre on Asia and Globalisation (CAG), a research center based at the National University of Singapore. As part of the Rockefeller Foundation-funded Asian Trends Monitoring Bulletin project, his work focused on the pro-poor dimensions of energy security in Southeast Asia. His research interests encompass climate change adaptation policy in least developed countries, environmental decision analysis, and impact evaluation. His publications have appeared in Energy Policy, Energy, Energy for Sustainable Development, and Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies for Global Change, among others. Before joining CAG, Anthony worked with the Institute of Water Policy at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, using system dynamics to address public policy and water policy challenges. Anthony has worked with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol at the World Resources Institute and at UNEP-ROAP, respectively focusing on corporate GHG emissions and sustainability in the built environment. He holds a Master in Public Policy degree from the National University of Singapore and a B.A. in Philosophy from Rutgers University.
