Topics include principal diplomatic functions such as gathering information, negotiating, protecting citizens' interests, promoting trade and investment, and rendering effective advice on policy.
 

Economic Diplomacy in the 20th Century

Covers twentieth century international economic diplomacy. Considers questions of economic diplomacy within the context of strategic, military, and diplomatic issues as well as changes in domestic economies over the 20th century.
 

Preventive Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution in the United Nations (taught at the UN)
