Workshop in Development Practice Final Presentations
The School of International and Public Affairs' (SIPA) Economic and Political Development (EPD), Human Rights, and International Media and Communications Concentrations and the Humanitarian Affairs Program Student teams in SIPA’s Workshop in Development Practice, who have been working with clients and partners in over 20 countries, will present their final reports and recommendations.

A Talk by Writer Siddharth Deb on the Need for New Journalism on Poverty
Journalist and novelist Siddhartha Deb will speak on recent reporting in the rural areas of Manipur and Andhra Prasdesh and the need for a new journalism on poverty. This event is sponsored by the South Asia Students Association and the International Media and Communications Program.

Thursday, October 30
Slouching Tiger, Crouching Crisis—Inequality, the Farm Crisis, and the Media
Award-winning journalist P. Sainath will discuss the pressures on the rural poor and the role of the press. Anya Schiffrin will moderate. This event is sponsored by the Committee on Global Thought, International Media and Communications Concentration (IMC), South Asian Association.

Media Coverage of the US Elections—Panel discussion with international journalists
The Alliance Program (AP) and the International Media and Communications (IMC) concentration present a panel discussion with U.S. correspondents of foreign newspapers analyzing the U.S. media coverage of the elections.
